The Vision

The vision of the school is to have graduates who will become leaders in their communities locally regionally and or in their professions.

The Mission

1. To offer excellent primary education to the orphans and vulnerable children.
2. To facilitate pupils who have excelled to join secondary and post secondary education.

Due to the HIV/AIDS scourge in Kenya the number of orphans and vulnerable children in this slum is high. A sizeable proportion of the population hire in absolute less than one us dollar per day. This situation has put the number of needy children to be on the rise and therefore the school tries to address some of the challenges the children face in the families like provision of food, education clothing health and uther basic needs. Though the school has also undergone through numerous challenges such as evictions lack of funding, lack of teaching and learning materials, we have tried the best we can in addressing some of the issues.

During lunch we provide lunch to the children as we serve them with rice with beans, Githeri which is a mixture of beans and maize, and also Ugali with Sukuma Wiki (Kale).

With no funds we are not able to provide the children with breakfast though its our plan that once we get funding then we feed the children on three meals in a day.

The admits children from the age of 2 ½ years in baby class, 4 yrs in nursery, 5yrs in pre-unit primary one from age 6 and the highest class is class eight at the aged of 14 or 15 yrs.

Last year we had a class of 14 candidates who sat for Kenya certificate of primary education KCPE and already 8 joined secondary schools while 6 are not continuing with education due to lack of fees though they qualified to join secondary schools.

The school starts at 6.30 morning with children having preps and teachers having time to check the homework up to 8.00am when they have morning assembly (20mins). Lessons starts at 8.20am to 4.00pm with 30mins break for upper class and 2 (30mins) break for lower primary. There is also lunch break from 12.40pm to 2.00pm from 4.00pm the children have games and here they have time to play different games of their choice up to 5.00pm. When they break
